German Aldana is a finance professional with over 25 years of experience in private wealth management, international financial structuring and business development across Latin America, the United States and Europe. He has a proven track record leading cross-border strategies for high-net-worth clients, institutional investors, and global investment platforms.
German specialises in structuring Private Equity and Venture Capital funds, bringing hands-on expertise in fund design, operational setup, regulatory alignment, governance frameworks, and capital formation strategies across multiple jurisdictions. His work spans the full lifecycle of investment vehicles, supporting both fund managers and investors in building efficient, well-governed structures.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors and Investment Committee of leading Colombian financial institutions, roles that highlight his deep expertise in financial markets, corporate governance and long-term investment strategy.
German has held leadership positions in global institutions such as BBVA Switzerland, BBVA Colombia, Unibank Panama and Skandia/Old Mutual, where he directed private banking, global product distribution, and high-value client strategies.
Currently, he collaborates closely with Bolder Group for the Latam Market, contributing to its global offering in corporate services, fund administration, governance, compliance and cross-border structuring. His focus is on supporting private equity managers, family offices and international companies in implementing scalable, efficient, and investor-aligned solutions.
Additionally, German is a conference speaker on topics such as family offices, private equity and global investment trends, and holds a degree in Finance and International Relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia, with executive education in wealth planning (STEP) and private equity (Colcapital–EAFIT). He is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish.
